SFPD kill man for fare evasion

Yesterday, the pigs killed a young man in Bayview after a dispute about MUNI fare evasion. This is only the next escalation in a string of incidents resulting from this year's fare evasion crackdown. A crowd gathered at the site of the shooting on Third and Oakdale as the police cordoned off the area. Later on, the crowd starting throwing bottles at the police. Video is circulating of the aftermath of the shooting, much of it showing the kid's uncovered body next to a pile of blood.

Later that night, an angry crowd assembled in the Mission District in response to the shooting. The crowd took to the street, antagonizing the police as it snaked through the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, in Hayward, one of Oscar Grant's friends who was with him on the night of his murder, was murfed in Hayward. He had a $5 million dollar lawsuit pending against the BART police for "mental and emotional" injury over the murder of Oscar Grant. This isn't the first time a person has been murdered while their lawsuit against the police is pending. An article on SF indybay, found here, outlines other incidents with the same general character.
